Saniora Government Backed Off the 2 Decisions

Finally, the Saniora government backed off the 2 decisions that they took 2 days before the labor union protest which turned into violent fights between the Lebanese.

Few days ago, the Lebanese Army asked the government to cancel the decisions. Two main loyalist leaders, Saad Hariri and Walid Junblat, accepted the army’s decision but nothing was canceled by the Saniora government. Yesterday, the information minister, Ghazi Aridi, in his statement after the meeting of the government announced that the government has canceled the two decisions.

Gunshots were heard all night by opposition supporters who were celebrating the canceling of the two decisions.
