Lebanese Elections Report by Australian News Source
In the following video, the reporter is mentioning about the Future Movement scandal. It seems that Future Movement has promised and issued fake tickets to Lebanese living in Australia.
The video also talks about the expats coming to Lebanon to vote.
حملة إعادة الحق لأصحابه
It is not insulting when politicians try to buy people’s votes, it is more insulting when people sell them…
So if you are a Lebanese who has dignity, who has received one of those boxes, and who was insulted by this gesture that aims at “buying” your right, join the campaign to “give back what’s yours”
حملة إعادة الحق لأصحابه
Those same politicians have taxed us and have robbed us of our rights for many many years, and here they are now, repackaging what’s ours, and trying to bribe us with it in order to buy our votes!
If you live under the poverty line, by all means, use the donation, throw the box in the garbage (or recycling), and remind yourself that the contents of the box were YOURS to start with, and that YOU OWE NOTHING TO NO ONE!
If you don’t live under the poverty line, then in the spirit of the holidays (Christmas, Adha, Hanukkah, etc.), and even after the holidays, donate them to someone who deserves them, someone who most probably was stripped of his/her basic needs by those same politicians.
The effort could be concerted or coordinated, a simple campaign that could include:
- Accept the box of donation (without opening it)
- Cover any statement on the box that indicates the source of the donation with paper and write on it:
إعادة الحق لأصحابه
- Go to the nearest charity, or the charity of your choice (Caritas, Dar el Aytam, etc.), and donate the box, and say with pride: that’s not from me, that’s people’s rights that should be returned to them!
Trust me, you’ll feel good when you do it.
