Godoj Thomas is the New German Superstar

In an exciting final, Thomas Godoj and Fady Maalouf faced each other to be crowned the new Super Star.

The two finalists sang three songs. In the end, only one had to win the “Superstar 2008″ title. The lucky winner of the fifth season of “Deutschland Sucht Den Superstar” became Thomas Godoj!

A Lebanese on the German “Superstar” finale

Once again, Lebanon shines abroad. Fadi Maalouf is today a name famous across Europe, ever since he became one of the favorite voices on “Deutschland Sucht Den Superstar”, the German version of “Superstar”, broadcasted on RTL.

One of the jurors is Dieter Bohlen, producer of the renowned Pop duo « Modern Talking » and famous Producer, songwriter and musician.
Out of 29,000 applicants from across Europe who auditioned, 150 only were called back. Fadi was among those, and made it to be one of the 15 finalists.

Fadi Maalouf is born in Zahle, Lebanon, of a Lebanese mother and father. His paternal grand mother is German as well as many members of his family. Fadi has been living in Germany for the past coupe of years, but has not failed to mention Lebanon in all his interviews and videos.

This Saturday May 17, Fadi will be competing for a major recording contract and the title of “DSDS”. All Lebanese living in Europe are called upon to support our Lebanese candidate and vote for him. The show will be broadcasted live on RTL at 9:15 PM Beirut time.
